The secret to any orginaztion’s sucess especially a nonprofit organization lies in its leadership’s ability to connect with existing members and prospective members, engage them in a meaningful way, and accelerate their commitment to fulfill the organization’s mission. With my lifetime of experience in communication, as a Board member I know that I can and will provide the tools the FBINCAAA must have in coming years to connect, engage and accelerate its members.

The FBINCAAA Board consists of some of the finest and most dedicated individuals that I have ever had the honor of knowing! From the very first National Conference in San Antonio, I had the desire to be a part of this group of dedicated citizens. My colleagues on the national board, as well as myself, truly have the desire to work towards the common goal of helping to make our communities safer. As ambassadors to the FBI we truly are making a difference in fulfilling the mission of the FBINCAAA. How could you not want to be associated with such a fine group of individuals such as these folks!

Stacy Irving

In 1997, I participated in an extraordinary program, the FBI Philadelphia Community Partnership Program (now known as the Citizens* Academy Program), which provided me with a unique opportunity to learn about the FBI as few others had. I heard about cases that focused on taking down organized crime rings and complex drug cartels, on fighting corruption to cases that involved civil rights violations, espionage and domestic and international terrorism. I heard first-hand accounts from agents in the field about cases that required hundreds of hours and exhaustive field work, as well as behind the scenes glimpses of investigations that resulted in apprehensions that * in some instances — required spit-second, life and death decisions. I also met some of the finest people in federal law enforcement both those in field and those who worked tirelessly to make this program a remarkable and lasting experience, the Community Outreach Specialists and Management and Program Specialists.

Even before our graduation, we decided to come together to create an alumni association for several reasons; to become Citizen Ambassadors on behalf of the FBI, to provide support to the field office to help this excellent program continue, and to insure that this very special partnership flourished. The same was true in 2004, when I became a founding member of the FBINCAAA organization and first board of directors, serving as the founding Vice President. I have continued to serve on the board of directors for the very same reasons I co-founded the FBI Philadelphia Citizens* Academy Alumni Association, because I wanted to help make our communities safer working in partnership with the FBI and serving as their Citizen Ambassadors.

In addition, I have also had the privilege to serve as the chairperson of the FBINCAAA*s Annual Leadership Conferences for the past several years. This has afforded me the special honor of working closely with the FBI*s Community Relations Unit and my colleagues from around the country to shape and organize the conferences. The goal for each conference is to bring together our Citizens* Academy leadership and the FBI*s Community Outreach Specialists to share ideas, to learn from each other, to recognize outstanding initiatives, to enjoy each other*s company, and most importantly, to identify ways we can work together to make this nation safer. The conferences give us an opportunity to learn from each other and come up with a unified agenda of how we can support our local FBI field offices and each other. And this year, we have taken the role of Citizen Ambassadors to a new level by helping a community in need in the Northeast section of Kansas City by transforming a community park and soccer field on behalf of the FBI and all the cities we represent.

Lastly, I also conduct the annual Best Practices Survey which is presented each year at the conference to provide information on the Citizens* Academy Alumni Association*s organizational operations, budgeting and fundraising, alumni support of their local Citizen Academy Program and other FBI initiatives, and alumni activities that might be replicated in our own cities. Thank you for allowing me to serve you as a member of the FBINCAAA Board of Directors.

Is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast who rides his Harley as often and as far as spare time allows.
As one of the founding fathers of the FBI WFO CAAA in 2005, He has been actively in support of the FBI Washington Field Office Community Outreach Programs such as, the Adopt-a-School Citizen’s Academy, and Junior Special Agent Programs.

Every year he visits our schools to share life experiences and the importance of staying in school. Recently, he helped develop and implement a parent survey to capture the thoughts and experiences of how the JSA Program has impacted the home in the parent’s point of view.

Through this great program, the Citizens Academy Alumni Association has helped more than 1000 disadvantaged area students achieve in school and encourage them to avoid gangs and criminal activity.

“I look forward to reaching my goals for this program’s measurable outcome, which has been and continues to be contributing to the attitude and aptitude that the target populations of students have in their academic and professional careers. If my efforts with the CAAA can work to support just one child who had not considered a future beyond what they saw in their immediate community, then we have done well. The educational programs, the mentoring, the etiquette, the travel outside the classroom, the Junior Special Agents Graduation Ceremony, the Thanksgiving deliveries, are all unique opportunities to this target population, and I can help make a difference”.

I am very proud to have been elected to the National Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association Board, and consider it an honor and a privilege to serve such great organization”.
