National Board Changes

(St. Petersburg, Florida, April 20, 2026) – FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA) announced changes to its Board of Directors to fill recently vacated position. The insights and energy they will bring to their positions will help ensure continuity in leadership, and we thank them for their commitment and shared dedication to advancing our mission.

 ACTING PRESIDENT

Guillermo Torres (Miami) assumes the position of Acting President for the remainder of the 2026 calendar year, effective immediately. With experience as both VP of Operations and Director of Chapter Engagement, Guillermo is well‑versed in the full scope of National and Chapter operations. His strategic vision will continue to elevate our work and set transformative standards for the organization’s future. Guillermo is a graduate of the FBI Miami Citizens Academy fall class of 2019.


 GENERAL COUNSEL

Sheryle Long (Pittsburgh) joins the Board as General Counsel. A 2022 graduate of the FBI Pittsburgh Citizens Academy, she is an active member of the FBI Pittsburgh CAAA. She joined the National Board in March 2026 and looks forward to helping shape the organization’s future by providing strategic guidance on governance, bylaws, and other priorities essential to advancing our mission.

FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that works in partnership with the FBI to promote public safety and security through community engagement, education, and outreach initiatives. Founded in 2005, the National organization provides training, resources, and governance oversight for 55 local FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association Chapters representing more than 53,000 business, civic, religious, and community leaders across the U.S., Guam, and Puerto Rico.
